Another new client in the Halls in 2009 is the InterClimate Network which will be bringing the International Climate Challenge to the Lindley Hall next month. This new venture, which is sponsored by Barclays, involves hundreds of young people across the UK, Kenya and India who are actively working on projects to positively influence climate change.
The event will celebrate young people's action on climate change and is jointly hosted by InterClimate Network, ENCAMS and Groundwork. It will be an exciting opportunity for young people (aged 10 to 18) from schools and youth groups to:
- showcase their Climate Change projects
- interact and be inspired by you as current 'change-makers'
- share learning and ideas with other young people from UK, Kenya and India
- review their peers' work and recognise best practice
- give their opinions in preparation for the 2009 UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen.
Natalie Stafferton at InterClimate Network says: “We were searching for venues with large capacity and the Halls fitted the bill. They have a large, flexible space to accommodate a plenary, a market space and breakout discussions in a fairly relaxed way. The service we have received from the sales and operations teams has been great!”
